Job summary

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, LLC is seeking an Endocrinology & Chemistry Supervisor to provide technical, operational, and administrative oversight of the Endocrinology and Chemistry testing sections. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant testing while supervising laboratory personnel and maintaining quality management systems under CLIA, CAP, NYSDOH, and state requirements.

Qualifications

• In-depth expertise in clinical chemistry, automated immunoassay systems, and endocrinology methodologies.
• Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and NYSDOH regulatory standards.
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and automated middleware systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, analytical troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with a focus on team engagement, accountability, and quality work habits.

Responsibilities

• Perform, verify, and release high-complexity patient testing in Endocrinology and Chemistry per SOPs.
• Oversee maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of analyzers and platforms.
• Monitor QC data, Levey-Jennings charts, and Westgard rules; implement corrective actions for out-of-control events.
• Lead assay validations, method comparisons, and reference range studies.
• Investigate failures and oversee proficiency testing and root-cause analyses.
• Provide supervision to bench technicians and manage staffing for optimal turnaround times.
