Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship as required for VA positions.
• English proficiency in speaking and writing.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or osteopathic equivalent from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S., or territory.
• Residency in an approved core specialty with board eligibility for Endocrinology and Internal Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive endocrine care for inpatient and outpatient settings within the VA system.
• Educate and supervise appropriate healthcare personnel involved in inpatient care and training.
• Maintain EMR documentation practices for all patient encounters.
• Participate in hospital committees, quality improvement, and continuing medical education.
