Job summary

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) in Tucson, AZ seeks a board-certified Endocrinologist to join its multi-disciplinary Endocrinology Division and provide comprehensive care to Veterans in inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will teach medical students, residents, and fellows from the University of Arizona, participate in quality improvement, and pursue scholarly activities with research time available.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree required
  • Board Certified in Endocrinology (ABIM)
  • Eligible for University of Arizona faculty appointment
  • Current, valid medical license in any U.S. state or territory
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Residency training completed in the USA

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive endocrinology care to Veterans in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
  • Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows from the University of Arizona College of Medicine
  • Conduct scholarly activities; time for research may be available with Merit Review considerations
  • Maintain BLS and comply with VA/SAVAHCS regulatory standards
