Job summary

The James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a full-time Endocrinologist to join our Endocrinology Service.

The physician will provide outpatient and inpatient endocrine and diabetes consults, including thyroid FNA with ultrasound guidance, and participate in teaching activities for fellows and medical students. Responsibilities include clinical care, teaching, and involvement in a VA teaching program with a collegial team dedicated to Veterans' health and evidence-based

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient General Endocrine and Diabetes consults, including thyroid FNA with ultrasound guidance.
• Teach endocrinology fellows and medical students as part of a VA teaching program.
• Collaborate with a collegial team to deliver up-to-date endocrine/diabetes care for Veterans.
• Work Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm with potential weekend inpatient coverage.
