USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated Operating Room Nurse to join our team. We operate 5 OR rooms and 3 treatment rooms with outpatient procedures across ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, and Urology.

The candidate should be available Monday–Friday, with some early mornings and later evenings. Position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or on-call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum two years previous OR experience.
• Current Texas RN license.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Able to interact tactfully with patients, families, physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.
• Care for adults and pediatrics from 1 month through adolescence.
• Support patients through gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology and general surgery.
• Maintain patient safety and aseptic technique in the OR.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR staff.

We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary: The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

Required Skills:
