Job summary

The candidate should have 1 year welding experience, basic math skills, and strong manual dexterity, with flexibility for overtime and strict safety rules compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 1 year welding experience.
• Experience in OCTG pipe industry preferable.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery, hand tools and devices.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and welding operations.
• Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work with a flexible schedule, overtime may be required.
• Understand and follow all location safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate mill entry, flatteners, end welder, and accumulator.
• Cross weld quality oversight and control.
• Maintain coil edge condition.
• Remove rough spots from work pieces with portable grinders, files, or scrapers.
• Monitor operation by watching gauges, dials and indicators.
• Review work orders and specs to determine materials needed.
• Move and handle materials safely with hands and arms.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials for defects.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor information to detect problems or events.
• Other duties as assigned.
