Job summary

SeAH Steel USA, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a CNC Operator to operate CNC machines following plant policies and procedures, ensuring safe and compliant operation during your shift. You will perform basic setups, read blueprints, adjust programs, inspect parts with gauges, and maintain quality while adhering to safety rules and daily maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Operator preferred but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints, micrometers and other precision measuring instruments is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English is preferred.
• Understand and follow machine shop instructions, safety rules and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing setups.
• Operate CNC lathe in accordance to SeAH Steel USA, LLC operating instructions.
• Adjust CNC program or machine control offsets to meet dimensions and quality requirements.
• Use precision gauges and other instruments to validate product compliance.
• Interpret sketches and read Operator Description Sheets (ODS) and maintenance notes.
• Perform basic quality checks at the point of production using scales and gauges.
• Maintain daily preventative maintenance for the machine and adhere to lock out/tag out.
• Follow company safety rules and work instructions; promote efficiency and productivity.
