Job summary

South Carolina Department of Environmental Services seeks an Endpoint Technician I to support End User Services, providing Tier II technical assistance and ensuring secure, reliable systems for environmental programs.

You will install, configure, upgrade, and maintain diverse hardware and software, troubleshoot network issues, and escalate tickets as needed. Remote work option available after one year, with travel as required within the region.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and experience in IT environments.
Related IT degree may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve moderately complex hardware and software issues.
Deliver proactive solutions to tickets based on severity.
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain hardware and software systems.
Assist in identifying and troubleshooting network-related issues to maintain connectivity.
Escalate Tier I Service Desk tickets and resolve issues promptly.
Research trends in customer support needs to improve processes.
Enforce information security standards across platforms and processes.
Advise on hardware and software purchases and pursue ongoing training.
