Job summary

Rochester Regional Health System in Newark, NY is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide IT technical support for end-user hardware, software and related technologies, and to assist with hardware/software installation to meet patient and staff needs.

The role requires independent analysis, problem solving, and strong customer service, with on-call duties and a 7:30 am–4:00 pm schedule, Monday through Friday, plus occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of Information Technology experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT technical support for end-user computer hardware, software, and related technologies.
• Schedule and install approved hardware and software to meet customer needs.
• Assist with new project requests and create/update documentation.
• Track and document issues in the ticketing system and support mobile devices.
