Job summary

SadaPay is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own customer-facing product slices across backend services and mobile interfaces. The role is backend-anchored yet full stack, enabling product decisions and end-to-end delivery within a compact, high-leverage team.

Ideal candidates have strong Kotlin/Spring experience, the ability to span backend, web tooling, and mobile code, and are comfortable using AI tools to boost coding and review efficiency. Remote work is supported with Karachi preference.

Qualifications

• Senior backend engineering experience with Kotlin and Spring.
• Ability to work across backend services, web tooling, and mobile codebases.
• Experience using AI development tools in the coding workflow.

Responsibilities

• Take features from Kotlin/Spring services through admin interfaces into the customer mobile experience.
• Build reliable backend services within a shared service monorepo.
• Extend Next.js control modules and integrate into a Flutter application.
• Own all technical layers for a product slice from backend to frontend and mobile.
• Utilize AI coding agents (Claude or Cursor) in implementation and review as part of workflow.
• Make scope and product trade-offs, maintain quality via reviews, RFCs, ADRs, and AI-assisted checks.
