Job summary

MODERN PROCESS EQUIPMENT is a Chicago-based engineering and manufacturing leader seeking a Project Manager for the Systems Division. You will lead full lifecycle projects—from process and mechanical design to fabrication, installation, and commissioning—serving as the primary liaison among engineering, shop floor, vendors, and client sites globally.

You will work hands-on with SolidWorks, develop P&IDs and process flows, and supervise field crews on-site to ensure precision and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of project design and management experience in process/manufacturing
• SolidWorks experience for 3D design
• Prior field experience with installation/commissioning preferred

Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end: scope, timeline, budget, and quality from kickoff through field acceptance
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including design, procurement, fabrication, vendors, and field technicians
• Travel to customer sites for equipment installation and commissioning (domestic/international)
