Job summary

Pronto AI, based in San Francisco, seeks a Technical Program Manager to own the handoff between engineering and field, guiding kit designs from release through pilot builds to full production across hardware, EE, firmware, robotics, software, operations, and manufacturing.

The role emphasizes cross-functional execution, ensuring inputs are ready, gates are cleared, and builds align with field needs. Solid experience in hardware programs and gate-based release is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical program or product management for hardware.
• Experience taking a hardware or electromechanical product from design release through pilot build and into production.
• Ability to sequence work and manage blockers across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Sequence each new kit program end to end across Hardware, EE, Firmware, Robotics, Software, Operations, and Manufacturing, so no team starts a step before its inputs are ready.
• Own the master schedule for each active kit program, keeping design, build, and manufacturing milestones synchronized across teams.
• Run program syncs and design reviews, and drive open decisions to closure rather than let them linger across teams
• Track dependencies and shared resources across concurrent kit programs, and flag conflicts before they cause a slip.
• Maintain a single source of truth for program status, blockers, and interdependencies.
• Escalate resourcing or sequencing conflicts to engineering and program leadership with a clear recommendation, not just a flag.
