Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager in Frederick, MD for on-site, permanent work. You will lead mechanical construction and fabrication projects from planning to completion, coordinating customers, engineers, contractors, field staff, and internal teams to keep work safe, on schedule, and within budget.

The role requires 3+ years in construction with leadership/coordination experience, a solid grasp of drawings and specs, and a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction with leadership/supervision roles.
• Background in mechanical construction, HVAC, or sheet metal.
• Ability to read mechanical, engineering, architectural drawings.
• Experience with schedules, budgets, job costs, contracts, and changing requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with multiple priorities.
• Comfortable communicating with customers, engineers, field personnel, and leadership.
• Ability to make decisions independently while collaborating with the team.
• Hands-on leadership with focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical construction and fabrication projects from planning through completion.
• Develop schedules, budgets, material needs, and execution plans.
• Coordinate activities between customers, engineering/design teams, contractors, field personnel, and internal ops.
• Review drawings, specs, and project docs.
• Track costs and performance, flagging schedule/budget risks early.
• Communicate progress, changes, and costs to customers.
