Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an Industrial Automation Controls Engineer to own end‑to‑end controls projects—from concept and programming through testing, commissioning, and startup. You’ll collaborate with mechanical design and manufacturing in a low-travel environment, hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, and VFDs.

You’ll design ladder logic or structured text in Allen‑Bradley Studio 5000 or Siemens TIA Portal, produce clear electrical schematics, and support installations and customer

Qualifications

• Hands-on programming experience with Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
• HMI development background in industrial automation environments.
• Solid grasp of electrical controls, schematics, sensors, motors, and VFDs.
• Proven troubleshooting skills on automated machinery or industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and troubleshoot PLC control logic on Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens platforms.
• Design and configure HMIs for automated equipment, with clear workflows.
• Draft electrical controls and schematics; maintain documentation.
• Integrate PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, drives; support startup and commissioning.
