Job summary

Comet is seeking an End to End Technical Project Manager (Hardware) for the Plasma Control Technologies division in San Jose, CA. You will lead multi-disciplinary hardware, firmware, and software projects from research to production launch, coordinating with internal customers and partners.

The role requires a BS or MS in engineering, 5+ years of PM experience, and proficiency with MS Project, Microsoft Office, Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience handling inception to mass production customer-facing hardware, firmware, and/or software product development preferred.
• Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office Tools
• Mastery of the Atlassian platform (Jira and Confluence) highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage hardware development project schedules, budgets and resources with engineering teams and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with internal partners on product development schedules, dependencies and budgets.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.
• Interface between customers, product engineering and NPI cross functional teams, setting and managing schedules, budgets and milestones.
• Synthesize large amounts of data into a clear story and communicate to stakeholders and organizations at all levels.

Education

BS or MS degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
