Job summary

CFS in Orange, CT is seeking a finance leader to own the full accounting and financial function, reporting directly to executive leadership. Whether you're stepping up from a Controller role or already leading a finance team, this position offers long-term growth and a chance to shape strategy.

You will manage cash, payroll, AP/AR, inventory, and month-end close, supervise five direct reports, and partner with operations to optimize systems like Sage and Paychex.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience including supervisory leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and advanced Excel; experience with ERP and POS platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own daily cash management and banking relationships; manage payables across domestic and international accounts.
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory costing in Sage.
• Supervise payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.
• Oversee 5 direct reports and multiple indirect reports; monitor POS/ordering system and support on-time shipping.
