Job summary

TerraFirma in Portland, Oregon seeks a data-focused professional who owns the full data lifecycle—source, shape, storage, and trust. You will partner with a Full Stack Developer and business stakeholders to clean, validate, and transform data so reports are accurate and actionable.

You'll build and maintain data pipelines into the data lake, design clean transformations, and own the reporting layer with Power BI.

Qualifications

3+ years in a data-focused role with ownership of data quality and reporting.
Ability to transform messy source data into clean, trustworthy datasets.
Strong SQL with complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
Power BI proficiency with reports that drive decisions.
Proficiency in Python for data transformation and automation.
Experience with REST APIs and JSON data sources.

Responsibilities

Own data quality and integrity across connected systems and validate data.
Ingest data into the data lake from multiple sources and maintain pipelines.
Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards used for decision making.
Document data sources, schemas, and transformation logic; contribute to data architecture.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to integrate data with applications.
