Job summary

TerraFirma is seeking a data-focused professional to own TerraFirma's data ecosystem. You will manage data quality, ingestion into the data lake, and transformation pipelines, while delivering actionable Power BI reports to leadership.

You will work with the Full Stack Developer and business stakeholders to ensure trusted data and clear storytelling. The role requires 3+ years in data roles, strong SQL, Python, and Power BI expertise, plus experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and data

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a data-focused role with ownership of data quality and reporting
• Strong SQL with complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning
• Power BI proficiency with report/dashboard delivery and DAX
• Python for data work: scripting and automation
• Ability to explain data discrepancies to senior leaders
• Experience with data lake concepts and transformation pipelines
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON data sources

Responsibilities

• Own data quality and integrity across connected systems
• Build and maintain validation frameworks to catch bad data
• Document data standards, naming conventions, and transformation rules
• Be the go-to person when numbers don’t match
• Ingest data into the data lake from multiple sources
• Design and maintain pipelines for clean, report-ready data
• Collaborate on integration design linking pipelines to application logic
• Monitor pipeline health and resolve failures
• Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards
• Translate business questions into data models and visuals
• Own the reporting layer and fix stale or confusing reports
• Surface insights proactively
• Contribute to TerraFirma's data lake design
• Document data sources, schemas, transformation logic, and lineage
• Support long-term data strategy with IT leadership
