Job summary

The Agency is seeking a Commercial Loan Operations Specialist to support the commercial lending team from closing to payoff. You will board and service commercial, CRE, and SBA loans, maintaining organized, exam-ready files and ensuring strong documentation practices and customer service.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced growth environment, takes ownership, and drives tasks to completion with minimal supervision while partnering with lenders, credit teams, and borrowers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial loan operations, servicing, or documentation within a bank or credit union.
• Solid knowledge of commercial/CRE loan docs, UCC filings, flood requirements, and lien perfection.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience with core banking and loan servicing systems; proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Jack Henry or Fiserv is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with lenders, attorneys, title companies, and borrowers.

Responsibilities

• Review closing packages and board new loans, renewals, modifications, and participations.
• Process loan advances, draws, payments, payoffs, and rate changes including construction draws.
• Track collateral and documentation exceptions such as UCC filings, deeds of trust, and appraisals.
• Monitor covenant requirements and financial statements; follow up with borrowers and lenders.
• Maintain organized loan files for audits, reviews, and OCC requests.
• Reconcile loan accounts, escrow and participation balances; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payoff letters, verifications of debt, and routine loan reports.
• Collaborate with lenders, closing attorneys, title companies, and borrowers to ensure accurate servicing.
• Identify opportunities to improve loan operations procedures and checklists.
