Job summary

General Motors seeks an End-of-Line Systems Engineer to support, validate, and continuously improve manufacturing systems for vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, and active safety calibration across GM's global plants. You will work with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and product development to deploy new capabilities and ensure high EFTQ and quality at launch.

The role requires onsite work at the Warren Tech Center with travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing systems, manufacturing engineering, tooling, automation, or production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve issues with complex equipment and support implementation across plant operations.
  • Experience deploying or supporting manufacturing equipment and hardware systems in production environments.
  • Experience implementing new manufacturing processes or system changes in production environments.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive issues to closure.
  • Cross-functional collaboration across product development, manufacturing engineering, suppliers, and plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a hands-on technical resource for end-of-line manufacturing issues, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct proactive health assessments of end-of-line equipment and interfaces to identify risks and prevent disruptions.
  • Plan and execute end-of-line equipment upgrades driven by new vehicle content and regulatory requirements.
  • Support testing, validation, and correlation of new manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Partner with teams to deploy end-of-line systems and ensure plant readiness for production.
