Job summary

CANPACK Group in Arkansas is seeking a Machine Operator to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair End Line equipment on a 7pm-7am shift. You will ensure production quality and support maintenance during line changeovers. The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to read basic specs, and basic problem solving to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

Prior manufacturing experience is a plus. Additional responsibilities include housekeeping, quality checks, and complying with safety standards

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic repairs on production equipment.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of US measurement and reading gauges.
• Able to read PO sheets and interpret control panel messages.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall production and quality according to specs.
• Perform basic repairs and troubleshoot on End Line equipment.
• Read and interpret information on PO sheets and production data.
• Check finished ends for quality and accuracy.
• Clear jams and assist with line changeovers.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures (ISO 14001, BRC).
• Train or assist others in daily production tasks.

Position Summary

D Crew

7pm-7am

Machine operator that will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the mechanical End Line equipment.

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables

• Ensure overall Production of machines and quality according to specification sheets.
• Ability to do basic repairs on the equipment.
• Ability to read and understand the information contained on the PO sheet.
• Check accuracy and quality of finished ends.
• Locate and clear basic jams that may occur on the machines during Production.
• Correctly read and interpret messages/statuses on the control panels.
• Assist with regular servicing and solving of problems regarding machinery.
• Actively support the maintenance team during line changeover.
• Train or assist other employees on the daily practices of Production related duties, such as but not limited to, Product changes, housekeeping and visual quality checks.
• Basic knowledge of the shell press, liners and conversion press.
• Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, rules, procedures, and policies. Comply with all environmental requirements as stipulated in ISO 14001 and BRC procedures and guidelines on Health & Safety.
• Perform any reasonable duties assigned by the management staff, corresponding with the role.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

• Good Mechanical aptitude is a must.
• Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of US measurement.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to organize own work.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair is a plus.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environment protection regulations.
