Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a detail‑oriented professional to assist with planning, organizing and coordinating the Encroachment Permit program in Georgetown County. You will review and investigate permit applications, ensure compliance with ARMS, MUTCD and related policies, and communicate deficiencies to applicants.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing and coordinating the Encroachment Permit program.
• Review, investigate and make recommendations for approval of encroachment permit applications.
• Verify/Review encroachment permits for compliance with ARMS manual, MUTCD and related policies; communicate deficiencies to applicants.
• Perform periodic inspections of encroachment projects to ensure permit compliance and policy adherence.
• Assist in emergency and inclement weather operations; may be required to work extended hours or 12‑hour shifts.
