Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists with planning, organizing and coordinating the Encroachment Permit program in Georgetown County.
• Reviews, investigates and makes recommendations involving approval of encroachment permit applications.
• Verifies encroachment permits for compliance with ARMS manual, MUTCD, Policy for Accommodating Utilities, and Traffic control plans.
• Performs periodic inspections of encroachment projects for construction and upon completion to ensure compliance with permit requirements and policy specifications.
• Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations, possibly including extended hours or 12-hour shifts.
