Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient in Bolingbrook, IL, is seeking an EMV Production Scheduler to manage the production and chip flashing schedules across multiple lines in a high mix/high volume environment.

You will partner with material planners and operations to ensure raw stock availability and on-time delivery, while optimizing plans using ERP/MRP data.

The role requires SAP proficiency, experience in a manufacturing job shop, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing job shop environment with SAP experience (MRP).
• Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs and create new ones as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Produces and updates a detailed production schedule using ERP to maximize finished goods availability and minimize downtime.
• Monitors forecast and customer orders; revises plans for changes; uses backlog/WIP/ERP-MES to determine material requirements.
• Revises production schedules due to demand, labor/material shortages, or interruptions with stakeholders.
• Collaborates with Regional Production Planning to support load balancing.
• Prioritizes orders by customer due date in EMV and maintains proper flow of orders.
• Coordinates with Quality on vendor issues and discrepancies; coordinates external processing of materials.
• Participates in lean activities / kaizen to improve production processes.

Job description

The EMV Production Scheduler will be responsible for EMV production schedule & Chip Flashing Schedule for a manufacturing production environment consisting of multiple production lines in a 24/5 High Mix / High Volume environment. Work closely with material planners to ensure raw stock is available for production to achieve on time delivery for customer due dates. Partner with Operations to achieve schedule attainment and Shipping/Logistics to achieve OTD/OTIF KPI target.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Business preferred
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing job shop environment, with demonstrated ability in SAP (MUST have 3-5 years of SAP Experience to include MRP analysis)
• A to follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures and create new ones
• The ability to work on complex problems containing multiple variables with solutions that are not always known at the time of assignment
• Proficient in Microsoft office; Word, Excel and Power Point
• Must have high attention to detail (daily shifting priorities)

Responsibilities:

• Produces and updates a detailed production schedule and plan using ERP and other data systems to ensure plan is up-to-date and optimized to maximize availability of finished goods for customers and minimize machine downtime, Initiates production orders accordingly
• Monitors forecast, customer orders for unexpected changes and revises plans as required. Utilizes backlog, WIP reports and ERP/MES systems to determine material requirements and priorities
• Revises production schedules when required due to customer demand, labor or material shortages, back logs or other interruptions collaborating with applicable stakeholders and Management
• Works closely with Regional Production Planning to support Load balancing as required
• Prioritize orders based on customer due date in EMV® and maintains proper flow of orders
• Responsible for working with Quality on vendor related issues or any discrepancies that arise from the supply chain
• Coordinate external processing of materials for third party services
