Job summary

Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Emulation Engineer to manage, build, and launch verification jobs on hardware emulation platforms. You will collaborate closely with design and verification teams to accelerate pre-silicon validation and ensure high-quality RTL delivery.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in software or electrical engineering, with a strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and automation scripting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience for Bachelor's or 3+ years for Master's.
• 2+ years with high-performance microprocessor design.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain emulation platforms for design bring-up.
• Compile and partition RTL designs for emulation.
• Develop and maintain automation for emulation runs.
• Collaborate with DV engineers to port testbenches.
• Debug emulation targets using Angel debug monitor.
• Manage job scheduling across shared hardware.
• Report emulation run results and triage failures.

Skills

Proficiency in SystemVerilog (RTL and/or testbench)

Strong Git usage

Experience with emulation platforms (Veloce, Palladium, ZeBu)

Scripting skills: Python, Tcl, Shell

Understanding of emulation compilation flows

Familiarity with UVM-based verification environments

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Master's degree in relevant field

PhD in relevant field
