Job summary

Qualcomm is seeking a CPU Emulation Engineer in Santa Clara to join the CPU verification team. You will develop emulation-based solutions, build test-bench infrastructure in C/C++ and SystemVerilog, and drive scalable verification across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of hardware/software engineering experience.
• Or Master’s degree in related field and 3+ years of experience.
• Or PhD in related field and 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CPU RTL, performance, verification and software teams to deliver emulation-based solutions.
• Architect and develop test bench infrastructure in C/C++ and SystemVerilog for emulation across platforms.
• Develop verification methodology for scalable, portable environments across simulation and emulation.
• Debug emulation performance and area issues to optimize resource use.
• Develop environment to run verification test cases, OS boot, benchmarks and vectors.
• Develop debugging methodology for efficient root-cause of CPU functional/performance issues.
• Maintain emulation environment to collect metrics and support automation.
• Work with emulation CAD team to resolve infrastructure issues and improve productivity.
• Execute verification plans including DV environment bring-up and regression for all features.
