Indianapolis EMS seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to respond to events and provide basic life support care. You will drive ambulances, assess patients, and coordinate with healthcare facilities while maintaining safety and compliance with protocols.

You will complete reports, maintain equipment, and deliver age-appropriate care from neonatal to geriatric across diverse emergency scenarios.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Indiana Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Certification.
• Currently working in a 911 setting within Marion County or the surrounding counties.
• Valid Indiana Driver's License - must meet and remain in compliance with IEMS driver eligibility policy.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification.
• Continuing education to maintain all required certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide BLS EMS care per Indianapolis EMS practices and policies, established protocols, verbal and written orders and state regulations.
• Monitor patients during transport and continue treatment started on scene.
• Drive an ambulance under emergent and non-emergent conditions.
• Perform patient assessments and initiate appropriate treatment.
• Assist the paramedic as indicated.
• Maintain ambulance and equipment readiness and restock as needed.
• Complete patient care reports and other documentation.
• Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
