Job summary

Allina Health EMS in Glencoe, MN is seeking an EMT to provide pre-hospital 911 services and transport patients under the direction of a paramedic. The role offers day/evening/night shifts with a 13-hour shift length and every-other weekend rotation, within a hospital-based EMS system that supports growth.

Responsibilities include safety-compliant vehicle operation, equipment maintenance, and accurate reporting to receiving facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education/experience to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description.
• Passing of Fitness for Duty testing.
• One year driving experience.
• To obtain credentials in accordance with the Office of Medical Direction within the probational period and maintain thereafter.
• Valid EMT certification for MN or WI as applicable; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to 911 and provides pre-hospital patient care within scope of certification.
• Transports patients from scene or facility to another facility.
• Maintains and operates vehicle in accordance with laws and company policy.
• Stock and clean vehicles and maintain equipment per manufacturer procedures.
• Documents and provides reports to receiving facility and maintains communications with customers.
