Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Full Time EMT Fire Readiness Driver in Peoria, IL. You will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing/industrial site, performing patrols and security duties while leveraging EMT and firefighting experience.

The role requires EMT certification, a valid driver’s license, and prior firefighting experience, with a daytime schedule including weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• EMT certification is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Previous firefighting experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation related to patrol activities and incidents.
