Job summary

American Ambulance Central Florida is seeking an EMT to perform emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations with a partner, delivering BLS care per local protocols. You will respond to calls with safe and efficient positioning of units and document care and transport details.

Requirements include being at least 18, having a high school diploma or GED, communicating in English, and holding a Florida EMT-B certification with CPR and EVOC if driving.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations with a partner.
• Responds to assigned calls promptly and safely.
• Provides BLS patient care according to protocols and practices.
• May assist Paramedic in ALS operation for patient assessment and transport.
• Completes medical records and transportation reports.
