American Ambulance Central Florida is hiring an EMT-B to provide critical emergency and non-emergency ambulance services across Central Florida. You will work with a partner to ensure safe, efficient transport, perform BLS procedures, and document patient care and transportation details.

You must maintain current EMT-B certification in Florida, CPR/BLS credentials, EVOC if driving, and a valid driver’s license, while upholding high standards of professionalism and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to communicate and understand English verbally and in writing.

Responsabilités

• Provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations with a partner, ensuring safety and public protection.
• Responds promptly to assigned calls and assesses scene to determine needed support.
• Provides BLS patient care per local protocols and clinical practices; assists with patient assessment and transport.
• May work with a Paramedic in ALS operations, contributing to patient care.
• Completes medical records and transportation reports accurately.
• Maintains knowledge of EMT standards of care and equipment operation.
• Complies with safety standards to protect self, crew, patient and equipment.
