Job summary

AMR is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for full-time roles in Abilene, TX. EMTs will respond to emergency and non-emergency medical requests, deliver high-quality care, and provide excellent customer service to patients.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, determining necessary care, documenting information, and operating ambulances in compliance with safety policies. Teamwork with allied health and safety personnel is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State EMT License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills to provide care including equipment and procedures.
• Operate an ambulance in line with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
