Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency medical requests, delivering high-quality care and customer service to patients.

As part of AMR’s network, EMTs will assess patients, provide essential care, document findings, and work with a professional team to ensure safety and readiness on every call in Amarillo, Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT License.
• State Driver's License.
• BLS, NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and determine necessary care.
• Deliver emergency services using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked patient environment.
• Operate ambulance in accordance with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
