Job summary

American Medical Response is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for full-time roles in Austin, TX. You will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests, deliver high-quality care, and provide excellent patient service.

You will assess patients, document care, and operate ambulances in accordance with company policies. This position requires a valid EMT license, driver’s license, BLS, and NREMT where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must hold a valid State EMT license.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• Current BLS certification.
• NREMT certification preferred.
• Driving record must comply with policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine needed care, and deliver emergency medical services.
• Document patient information and treatment while protecting confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients.
• Utilize EMT skills for care, communications, equipment and procedures.
• Operate an ambulance in compliance with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety teams.
