Job summary

Breckenridge Village (BVT) is a Christ-centered community serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The EMT-PRN team provides short-term medical coverage on campus, responding to medical needs within the EMT scope and assisting with assessments to ensure residents’ health and safety.

The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and observant, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current EMT Basic certification or license in state of residence.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with IDD Adults; care provider experience preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Drug screening and criminal background checks required.
• Must meet all state regulatory guidelines for the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term, as-needed medical coverage on Breckenridge Village campus.
• Respond to medical needs within EMT scope and coordinate with BVT team.
• Assist with patient care and transport to appointments as needed.
• Document care and follow BVT policies and procedures.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality while interacting with residents.
