Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an EMT for the Mobile Health unit. The EMT will deliver Basic Life Support, follow established patient care protocols, and operate department vehicles in accordance with New Jersey laws.

The role includes completing documentation, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities emphasize patient safety, clear communication in English, and adherence to MH policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold NJ/NY/PA or National Registry EMT Certification.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification required.
• Hazmat Awareness Certification required.
• IC 100, 200 and NIMS 700, 800 certifications required.
• Must meet vehicle insurance requirements and driving eligibility.
• WMD/CBRNE awareness training mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) services to patients.
• Operate department vehicles in compliance with NJ laws and MH policies.
• Complete patient care documentation per MH procedures.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and complete vehicle inspections.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families and teammates.
