RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an EMT for the Mobile Health unit in Harrison, NJ. The role focuses on delivering Basic Life Support in a fast-paced healthcare setting, with opportunities to advance to ALS and obtain additional certifications.

The position requires NJ/National EMT certification, BLS CPR, Hazmat awareness, and NIMS/IC prerequisites. Compensation ranges hourly, with benefits and a strong emphasis on patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and a high school graduate or GED.
• EMT certification in NJ, NY, PA or National Registry is required.
• BLS CPR certification for healthcare providers is required.
• Hazmat Awareness and NIMS/ICS training are required.
• WMD/CBRNE awareness training must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) services to patients.
• Maintain professional, dignified, compassionate conduct at all times.
• Communicate clearly in English with patients and team members.
• Complete patient care documentation and follow MH procedures.
• Operate department vehicles in accordance with NJ laws and policies.
• Attend required continuing education and recertification activities.
