RWJBarnabas Health in Somerville, NJ is seeking an EMT for the Mobile Health team on the night shift. The role requires patient-focused care, adherence to protocols, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary EMS staff.

Ideal candidates hold EMT certification (NJ/NY/PA or National Registry), BLS CPR, Hazmat awareness, and ICS/NIMS readiness. This hourly position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to advance within the Central BLS Emergency department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current Driver's License and must satisfy the vehicle insurance requirements.
• EMT Certification (NJ/NY/PA or National Registry) required.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR) required.
• Hazmat Awareness Certification required.
• ICS-100, ICS-200, and NIMS 700, 800 required.
• Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to established patient care protocols.
• Operate department vehicles in compliance with NJ Motor Vehicle Laws and MH policies.
• Complete department continuing programs and hospital-required processes (TB testing, N95 fit testing, self-evaluations, surveys).
• Document patient care according to MH Documentation Procedure.
• Communicate professionally with patients, staff, and partner EMS agencies.
