Job summary

Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas, is seeking a Per Diem EMT-Paramedic to join the Emergency Services team. You will perform assessment and basic management of medical and trauma emergencies under supervision of ER staff and physicians, and support patient care during 12-hour evening shifts.

Requirements include Basic EMT-Paramedic registry, BCLS, CPI, ACL and PALS certifications; ER experience preferred. Per diem status means as-needed hours with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• EMT-Paramedic certification required.
• ER experience preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and kept current.
• CPI within 6 months of hire and maintained annually.
• ACL certification required upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification required upon hire and maintained.

Hours: 12-hour shifts, 9:00am-9:00pm

Location: Harlingen Medical Center - Harlingen, Texas

Responsibilities

The EMT-Paramedic is responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the staff nurse and / or physician. Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under the direct supervision of the ER Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• Basic EMT-P Registry Required
• E.R. experience preferred
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• CPI within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually.
• ACL certification upon hire and maintain current required.
• PALS certification upon hire and maintain current required.
