  • Hourly Wage: $31.50 an hour
Summary

Providing both emergency and non-emergency transport of patients. Empress Paramedics will collaborate with supervisors, fire, police, medical staff, patients, and families to provide high-quality patient care and customer service. The role involves performing or assisting with various patient care activities in pre-hospital and hospital settings, offering supportive and definitive care during emergencies and inter-facility transports.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care utilizing ACLS, PEEP, or PALS.
  • Assess and treat medical or trauma situations with appropriate techniques.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established protocols.
  • Accurately document all patient care and EMS responses.
  • Complete all required paperwork and maintain equipment, vehicles, supplies, and logs.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment following company policies.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and promote safety practices.
  • Report to work on time; shifts may exceed scheduled hours, including mandatory overtime.
  • Work various shifts as required.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend continuing education, updates, and staff meetings.
  • Adhere to uniform and equipment regulations.
  • Assist in public education and community outreach programs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current NY State EMT-P Certification and AHA CPR, PALS, ACLS Certifications.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment screening including drug test, background check, and physical agility test.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • National Registry Paramedic Certification.
  • Westchester REMAC, Hudson Valley REMAC, and NYC REMAC Certifications (if applicable).
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work involves outdoor and indoor environments, exposure to hazards, blood/body fluids, and requires respirator use, extended hours, and temperature changes. Physical demands include lifting up to 150 pounds alone, or 300 pounds with assistance, and various physical activities. Visual and sensory abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
