Job summary

Allina Health EMS is seeking an EMT to provide pre-hospital patient care and facility transports under paramedic supervision. The role includes driving, operating EMS vehicles, stocking and cleaning equipment, and documenting patient reports.

The EMT will respond to 911 and non-911 transports, maintaining communications with receiving facilities and ensuring safety practices while adhering to union guidelines and shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with required education/experience.
• 1 year driving experience is preferred.
• Passing Fitness for Duty testing is required to obtain credentials and maintain thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Responds to 911 calls and provides pre-hospital patient care under the direction of a paramedic.
• Transports patients between scenes and facilities.
• Maintains and operates EMS vehicle and equipment, stocks and cleans as needed.
• Documents and reports to receiving facility and coordinates with internal/external customers.
• Adheres to driving laws and company procedures; ensures safety and reporting of hazards.
