Job summary

EMSA, Oklahoma's largest ambulance service, seeks qualified EMTs to deliver exceptional patient care and safe transport. You will operate under Medical Control, maintain certifications, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18+ years of age or above.
• Certificate from college or technical school preferred but not required.
• Possess and maintain Oklahoma Department of Health EMT Certification.
• Possess and maintain National Registry EMT Certification.
• Possess and maintain Oklahoma driver’s license with clean record (no more than two moving violations in 3 years).
• All certifications required by the Medical Control Board and EMSA.
• CPR credentials per American Heart Association.
• Hazardous Materials (first responder level).

Responsibilities

• Conduct self in a professional manner and project a positive image.
• Follow directions from supervisors and coordination centers.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, public safety and allied professionals.
• Adhere to EMSA clinical standards and protocols.
• Maintain patient care quality through ongoing education and practice.
• Ensure safe transport of patients to and from the ambulance.
• Operate EMS vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Maintain equipment inventory and vehicle readiness.
• Report injuries and equipment malfunctions promptly.
