Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO, is seeking an EMT to assist Paramedics in delivering immediate care in both emergency and non-emergency situations. The role covers CPR, AED use, ventilation, hemorrhage control, and patient stabilization.

You will document all care under EMS direction and operate the ambulance to transport patients to medical facilities. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent; EMT experience preferred.

Job Description

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) assists Paramedics with providing efficient and immediate care to patients in various emergency and non-emergency situations. Responsible for providing basic medical support including CPR, AED, ventilation, controlling hemorrhaging, etc. to stabilize the patient’s condition. The EMT is responsible for documenting all aspects of care provided under their direction by EMS services. Operates the ambulance in various road conditions to safely transport patients to medical facilities.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred: Previous EMT experience

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Current Missouri EMT License required
• Missouri Resident: MO Class E license is required.
