Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Paramedic for the CoxHealth South location in Springfield, MO. The role supports emergency and non-emergency patient care, directs on-scene care, and ensures rapid transport to facilities.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, providing essential medical interventions, documenting care, and operating ambulances under EMS direction. Missouri EMT-P licensure is required; CDL/Class E for ambulance operation preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Preferred EMT experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate and provide quick diagnoses to administer immediate medical care.
• Provide basic medical support including CPR, AED, ventilation, controlling hemorrhaging.
• Perform more invasive techniques to stabilize the patient’s condition.
• Document all aspects of care provided under EMS services direction.
• Operate the ambulance to transport patients to medical facilities.
