Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking qualified EMS responders to join the ambulance service in the Hazleton area. The role involves basic life support, assisting advanced life support, and coordinating patient care with emergency teams across scenes and transports.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, EMT-B or higher certification, and PA driver’s license. Training in PHTLS/PEARS is preferred and HIPAA compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED within 2 years of hire.
• EMT-B certification or higher is required.
• PHTLS and PEARS within 1 year of hire, EMS vehicle operations training preferred.
• DL Driver's License_PA required at hire or upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic life support (BLS) services during patient transport and assists in emergency medical care.
• Assists ALS services with paramedic partners and emergency scene management.
• Provides care for patients in psychiatric, medical, and traumatic crises.
• Documents assessments and treatments in patient care charts.
• Operates as part of a two-person ambulance crew.
• Stabilizes and moves patients from scene to facilities as needed.
• Communicates with receiving facilities for treatment instructions.
