Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) for emergency and non-emergency calls across Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Union Counties. You will work within a team, support public safety and healthcare providers, and comply with state regulations and HMH policies.

The role requires NJ EMT certification (or NR EMT with NJ reciprocity), BLS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office or Google Suite.
• Current NJ EMT certification or NR EMT with NJ reciprocity.
• BLS/CPR certification required or within scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls in a timely manner.
• Assesses patient and provides pre-hospital BLS care.
• Operates emergency vehicle safely and follows PPE protocols.
• Completes patient care reports and communicates with medical control.
• Presents handoffs to receiving clinicians per policy.
