Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls as an ambulance driver or attendant and transports patients to medical facilities.
• Administers medications and basic procedures approved for EMT-Basic by NC EMS.
• Maintains ambulance, equipment, and supplies in working order.
• Participates in ongoing training programs for technical medical work and ambulance operations.
• Gives talks on emergency medical services at schools and conducts station tours.
• Cleans ambulances and stations and studies county street patterns.
• Performs related work as necessary.
