IU Health seeks a full-time Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic to provide ground and potential air-evac coverage for critical care transport operations. Based in Indianapolis, you will respond to emergencies and interhospital transports, delivering immediate life-saving care in the field and during transport.

Requirements include Indiana EMT certification (or national certification with Indiana certification within 30 days), and Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association;

Qualifikationen

• EMT certification required or national certification with ability to obtain Indiana EMT within 30 days of start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department.
• Requires Indiana State driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Responds in an emergency medical vehicle to scenes and transports patients to hospital.
• Provides basic life support care at the scene and enroute.
• Performs CPR, AED, and bone splinting as needed.
• Performs specialized life-sustaining procedures in a hospital-based advanced care ambulance service.
• Delivers immediate emergency care and safe transport of critically ill or injured patients.
