3, 12-hour shifts, full-time schedule. Response involves emergency calls, immediate BLS care, CPR/AED, and transport to hospital, with potential for advanced life support procedures per unit policies.

Qualifications

• Indiana EMT Certification required or must be nationally certified and able to obtain Indiana EMT within 30 days of start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department.
• Requires Indiana State driver90s license and may require Motor Vehicle Record check.

Responsabilités

• Responds in an emergency medical vehicle to scenes of reported emergencies, nonemergencies and interhospital transports.
• Provides efficient and immediate basic life support care to the patient at the scene and enroute to and in the hospital.
• Performs non-invasive procedures and basic life support functions such as CPR, AED and bone splinting.
• Performs specialized life-sustaining procedures in a hospital-based advanced care ambulance service.
• Provides immediate emergency care and transport of the critically ill or injured.
