Job summary

Lantern Hill by Erickson Senior Living in New Providence, New Jersey, seeks a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) to implement security and emergency programs and provide community outreach.

You will patrol the property, assist at the gatehouse, respond to medical and security calls, enforce traffic rules, file detailed incident reports and coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS as needed. Per diem schedule with EMT bonus available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services preferred.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• Current EMR certification required; higher certification/licensure acceptable; must obtain EMR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing basic interventions.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using the online report system.

Location: Lantern Hill by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) at our gated retirement community. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing our Security and Emergency Services programs and providing outreach within the community.

What you will need

• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).
